Catholic Schools Week January 25– 31

Catholic Schools Week is a special week to celebrate all that makes our school unique, and we have several events to show our pride.  Download a printable version of these activities.

Saturday, January 25  CELEBRATING OUR PARISH

• St. Patrick students and families will assist with 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday. The Praise Band will play at this Mass! Students should wear their green St. Patrick t-shirts! A student will design this weekend’s bulletin cover.

Sunday, January 26  CELEBRATING OUR PARISH

• Admissions Open House at Clover Patch Preschool from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tell your friends!

Monday, January 27  CELEBRATING LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE

• We will have Monday Morning Prayer at 8:25 in the MPR. Preschool students are joining us for prayer. The box lunch raffle winners will be drawn at 8:25 a.m. UNI Dance marathon team will be speaking.

Tuesday, January 28   CELEBRATING STUDENTS & FAMILIES

• Pajama Day (warm enough for recess — no tank tops, no yoga pants, no shorts)

• Teachers will eat lunch with the individual students drawn from the box lunch raffle.

Wednesday, January 29  CELEBRATING FACULTY, STAFF & VOLUNTEERS

• Dress Up Day (wear your Sunday best or school uniform)

• Join us for Mass at 8:30 a.m. The 11th annual Shamrock Award will be presented to an outstanding volunteer/alum.

• The eighth grade vs. staff volleyball game will begin in the gym at 12:45 p.m.

Thursday, January 30  CELEBRATING ACADEMICS

• Wacky Tacky Dress up day (no tank tops, no yoga pants, no shorts)

• Science show for grades K-4 at 2 pm.  Bowling for grades 5/6 and movie for grades 7/8 in the afternoon (permission slips needed).

Friday, January 31  CELEBRATING COMMUNITY

• Comfy clothes day (no tank tops, no yoga pants, no shorts)

• Students will play BINGO and carnival games. 

• Family dance from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gym. UNI Dance Marathon team will have some special activities. Admission to the dance is FREE but we will have a “free will” donation for the UNI Dance Marathon which supports the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. Snacks, drinks, and pizza will be available for purchase. Please remind students that no running is allowed during the dance. All students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
