I am a current resident of Parkersburg, Iowa. As of five years ago, I had lived in Waterloo the majority of my life. It is here that my husband, Alan to some, Al to many, raised our two children, Natalie, a 2010 Columbus graduate and Andrew, a Waterloo West High School graduate of 2013. Al has since retired from the Waterloo Police Department. We are enjoying and spoiling our three grandchildren Meredith, Gideon, and Temperance who reside in the Minneapolis area. We love to travel to other states to reach our goal of going to all 50 states in our lifetimes.
My hobbies include golf (I love golf!) and working out at Orange Theory as orange is the happiest color! I enjoy gardening, reading, dog friendship with my Aussie Beau, and neighbors who we watch the sunsets with.
While a member of Sacred Heart Church, I taught fourth grade at the parish school for one year. I then worked as a dental assisting faculty member for 11 years. Upon my retirement from the community college technical programming field, I returned to elementary education, my first love. It is here that I was able to practice my faith and deep commitment to lifelong education while serving at St. Edward School (fourth grade teacher) and then St. Patrick (kindergarten associate and grade 5/6 teacher).
I am very excited to serve the students of my current St. Patrick parish school as the Student Success Coach. It has been a dream to continue my lifelong learning mentorship to students in today's changing world. Knowing that education has invaluable return, I want to leave students with a valued educational experience while at St. Patrick and help them be successful in school and life.
