I have been teaching since 2002. I began with third grade at Immaculate Conception School in Charles City, my hometown. I have been at St. Patrick School since 2008. I have taught first and second grade, but mostly kindergarten. 

I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa where I majored in Elementary Education and earned a reading endorsement. I completed my master's degree in education from Viterbo University and received my early childhood endorsement.

I have really enjoyed experiencing the different grades and seeing how the students progress as they learn. I love the enthusiasm kindergarten students have for learning and how every day is different. My husband and I have two boys here at St. Patrick. We enjoy spending time outdoors together - especially boating in the summer on the river.
